About Pepin Heights and Dennis Courtier

Pepin Heights Orchard has been owned by the Courtier family since 1949 and is Minnesota’s largest orchard. Over the years, Pepin Heights’ reputation for producing excellent fruit has grown, and so has the company’s business - Pepin Heights now ships apples and cider anywhere that people love to eat great food.

Current owner Dennis Courtier worked his way from pruning and picking to running the business, and ultimately purchased the orchard from his parents in 1978. Dennis has overseen an expansion from one orchard to three and was an integral player in introducing the popular HoneyCrisp variety of apples into the market.

Dennis has served as president of the Minnesota Apple Growers Association, president of the Independent Dwarf Fruit Tree Association, advisory member of the U.S. Apple Commission and board member of the Premier Apple Cooperative. He’s also a member of the Good Food Project

Dennis continues to shape the direction of the company, spearheading all new and major initiatives that Pepin Heights undertakes.
